Character name: CLAUDIA
Character Description: Early-mid 20's, Female, African American. Claudia is a pre-med student, in a serious relationship with her live-in boyfriend Jayson, in his 2nd year of residency. Removed from her incapacitated mothers care shortly after her birth, she was raised by her Aunt Pam. Embarrassed by her past Claudia relocated after graduating high school and hasn't looked back since. Mature and focused she is determined to have the life she deserves, until a death in the family brings her back home. LEAD.

Character Description: Early-mid 40's, Female, African American. Deborah is Claudia's incapacitated mother. She is daughter to Gloria Jean and Mason. She never passed the 6th grade, after failing twice and becoming pregnant with Claudia, by a fellow student, her parents removed her and opted for home schooling. Over the years she has declined further. She is unable to communicate and lacks the normal function of her emotional and mental state. She has never left her parents' house, residing in the 'back-room' with minimal human interaction. Small Stunt Scene required. SUPPORT.

Character Description: Late 30's Early 40's, Female, African American. Pamela is Claudia's Aunt. She is Gloria Jean and Mason's youngest daughter. She is the mother to Savanna and married to Attorney husband John. She moved out of her parent's strict and abusive household at 17 and took her niece Claudia with her, raising her as her own until she had Savanna, who then became her primary focus pushing Claudia to the back burner. She lives locally but is distant from her aging parents. A well-kept, stay-at-home wife and mother, she lives a beautiful upper middle-class life. She is obsessed with appearances and painting a perfect family portrait that completely contrasts her dark childhood. SUPPORT.
